One thing for sure it is either going to happen or it is not

Seriously it they don't agree real soon the season is done and the damage will take a long time to get over for us fans. I mean nobody worships an nhl player more than me, I love the nhl and especially certain players but I am so pissed right now that I feel like torching some 30 plus nhl jerseys in my closet. Let us hope for some good news this week so we can start to heal.

You mean it could be like a Richard Cloutier blog, getting hits for all the wrong reasons For the record I think Clouts blog is very fun read, sometimes he is dead on and other times he could have had a few too many diet cokes

UPDATE: Did a little digging on Steve Burton and he did break the Kessel Testicular cancer story a few years back...which tells you he has connects high up at the team who trust him...and everything through Boston goes through Jacobs...Like Jacobs or not, I dont doubt Bettman would tell Jacobs news like this before he would tell almost any one...

Kind of bitter-sweet if the lockout ends, a short season will be a little weird and I've lost my enthusiasm for this season.

Not old enough to remember that season, but I'll take your word for it.

Seems like a good year for the Canucks to win since some people will wants to put an asterisk beside the SC winner.

Stamp my ticket.

I'm not normally negative but after this long dreadful lockout i've lost a lot of confidence in a season being salvaged. If it happens in the next two days, awesome, I won't miss a beat and further damage the sport by boycotting it. If it doesn't happen, my hopes weren't raised anyway and i'll continue to wait.

I was too young to remember that too. To be honest I feel like a 48 game season is a bit of a joke. But then again, I will just be happy to have the NHL back.

Not sure why a guy (Pomminville) that is usually 'in touch' with the pulse of the league, not to mention being the Sabres Captain would decide at this point to pick up and go play for his teammate Jochen Hechts team in Germany.

Pommers has been here practicing with Ott and other Sabres an now he has decided to go play overseas. I dont know , doesnt make much sense .

Pommers has his finger on the pulse so respectively, I just dont believe any of the positives. I think the season is going to hell in a hand basket and Pommers knows it and that's why he is leaving finally to go play in Germany.

I guess I am on the side that says I will believe it when I SEE IT !

I see nothing about this on TSN. Until I do, this is all hypothetical speculation. Nothing on Sportsnet.ca or the Toronto Star. Either this Boston writer knows something no one else does or he's a glory hound.

"Sources tell WBZ-TV’s Steve Burton that"

I hate articles that are based on anonymous sources. Even if I want to believe them I can't bring myself to do so.

Steve Burton is a local sportscaster on TV here in boston. sometimes he stands outside the boston garden to report on Bruins games. Not sure he has ever been thought of as an insider on the NHL.. no shot I am buying his nonsense which I though another local guy Joe Haggerty said was actually a false report?

There is not even a mention of it in Boston.com today
